Supporting Women In Business At The House Of Lords
Christine Nicholls, Director and Co-Founder of Atlantic Pacific Group, was honoured to be a guest speaker and panel lead at a prestigious women in business event held at the House of Lords on May 21st.
The event brought together more than 120 women in business from across the UK for a day of discussion, collaboration and inspiration. Organised by Coral Horn, founder of the Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAs), alongside Baroness Valentine, the gathering was proudly sponsored by Atlantic Pacific Group and created an important platform for female entrepreneurs, professionals and future leaders to connect and share their experiences.
Christine played a key role throughout the event, leading conversations around the opportunities and challenges facing women in business today. Her contribution reflected Atlantic Pacific Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting leadership, diversity and opportunity across industries and communities.
A highlight of the day was a keynote speech from Theo Paphitis, owner of the Theo Paphitis Retail Group, which includes well-known high street brands Ryman and Robert Dyas. Christine and Theo also shared personal reflections on football, community and leadership, including memories connected to Unity in Community Ambassador Tony Cottee and his time playing for Millwall during Theo’s ownership of the club.
The event also shone a spotlight on the next generation of female leaders, with many aspiring business women travelling from Northern England to London to attend. Discussions throughout the day reinforced the importance of mentorship, visibility and creating opportunities that empower women to succeed.
Speaking after the event, Christine reflected on the significance of encouraging collaboration and supporting others through shared experiences and leadership.
