King’s Awards For Enterprise
King’s Award
For Enterprise 2024
Christine was absolutely thrilled when Atlantic Pacific received the much coveted King’s Award For Enterprise in the International Trade category 2024, which is widely considered to be the most prestigious award available to UK businesses.
The announcement followed a rigorous and demanding government auditing process, during which we demonstrated an excellent compliance record with HMRC, strong environmental and governance practices, outstanding acceleration in overseas revenue, and substantial growth.
The King And I
Christine was then delighted and honoured to represent Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics at two special King’s Award for Enterprise receptions.
On Monday 8th July 2024, she attended a reception for the Essex based winners of this year’s award, hosted by Jill Reeves, Lady Chairman of Essex County Council and Jennifer Tolhurst, Lord Lieutenant of Essex.
Then, on the evening of Tuesday 9th July 2024, the official King’s Award for Enterprise reception took place at Windsor Castle hosted by His Majesty The King, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent, where Christine was honoured to represent Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics.
Christine also had the unique and special opportunity to talk to His Majesty about Atlantic Pacific and women in transport and logistics.

On the 16th of October His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex, Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst, presented Ashley and Christine Nichols with the Kings Award For Enterprise – International Trade.
The presentation was made at Friern Manor in Dunton, Essex and VIP guests included Councillor Victoria Joseph, Deputy Mayor of Basildon, Councillor Jill Reeves, Lady Chairman of Essex County Council, Councillor Ron Woodley, Mayor of Southend-on-Sea, Councillor Nigel Folkard, Deputy Mayor of Southend and Lesley Batchelor CBE.
