Christine is the founder and executive Chairwoman of the Unity In Community foundation.
Unity in Community is the charitable foundation of Atlantic Pacific Group and supports both local and national based charities, along with aret, culture and sports community events.
Lady McAdden
As Chair of the Trustees, Christine Nichols is proud to continue the legacy of Lady Dorothy McAdden, wife of Sir Stephen McAdden CBE.
Nearly 50 years on, the Trust remains dedicated to education, awareness and support, working closely with the NHS and other local charities to promote early detection and breast health.
With the opening of the new McAdden Sanctuary in Leigh-on-Sea and the growth of our retail shops, we are building strong foundations for our 50th anniversary in 2026 and beyond.
Haven’s Hospices
Chrissy is a keen supporter and regular sponsor of events for Havens Hospices, which incorporates Fair Havens and Little Havens. Through Atlantic Pacific Group and its charitable foundation, Unity In Community, she has supported the charity’s major public art trails as both logistics partner and principal sponsor. This includes:
- Hares About Town (2021)
- Herd In The City (2023)
- Waddle On Sea (2025)
Collectively, these trails have raised over £1.6 million for Havens Hospices’ care and family support services. They have been viewed by hundreds of thousands of people and have generated millions of pounds of economic benefit for local businesses and the wider visitor economy. Atlantic Pacific Group commissioned its own sculptures for each trail. These works were subsequently purchased and are now retained on permanent public display, reinforcing the long-term cultural and community legacy of the partnership.
