HOUSE OF LORDS 2026

On 21 May, Christine Nichols was honoured to be a guest speaker and panel lead at a special event held in the House of Lords, bringing together over 120 women in business from across the UK. The event was organised by Coral Horn, founder of the Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAs), alongside Baroness Valentine and was proudly sponsored by Atlantic Pacific Group. The gathering created an inspiring platform for women to connect, share experiences and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing female entrepreneurs and leaders today.

The event also featured keynote speaker Theo Paphitis, owner of the Theo Paphitis Retail Group, including household names such as Ryman and Robert Dyas. Christine and Theo shared stories and memories linked to football and community, including reflections on the days when Unity in Community Ambassador Tony Cottee played for Millwall during Theo’s ownership of the club.

Beyond the discussions and networking, the event highlighted the importance of opening doors and creating opportunities for the next generation, with many aspiring women in business travelling from Northern cities to London to be part of the day. It was a powerful reminder that encouragement, visibility and collaboration remain essential in helping future female leaders thrive. The day reflected Christine’s ongoing passion for supporting women in business and ensuring that success is not only measured by growth, but by creating opportunities and leaving a positive legacy for others to follow.
