Double Award Success On The Road To Net Zero

Christine was delighted to receive news that Port Express recently won not one, but two awards at the DP World Low Carbon Truck Programme Awards 2026.

The group partner was honoured with the prestigious Road to Net Zero Award 2026, while the company’s Managing Director, James Watts, was named LCTP Individual of the Year.

These awards recognise the ongoing work taking place across the business to reduce emissions, improve efficiency and invest in cleaner, more technologically advanced transport solutions.

Their journey to becoming a greener business is built on practical, real-world change. From operating more than 100 owned Euro VI specification trucks, to using telematics and Fleet Witness software to monitor driver behaviour, improve performance and reduce fuel consumption, we are continually looking for ways to make a positive and greener impact.

Port Express have also introduced smarter tyre strategies, combining premium tyres with high-quality remoulded alternatives to extend tyre life, reduce waste and support a more circular approach. Alongside this, we are exploring renewable fuels, trialling new innovations and technology, and began operating a 42-tonne electric HGV from our Southampton depot this year.

A fantastic achievement for everyone involved at Port Express.
