Christine Helps Turn Southend Gold for Local Children’s Cancer Charity
Christine Nichols was delighted to support local children’s cancer charity Gold Geese by joining their spectacular yellow and gold car run through Southend-on-Sea on Saturday September 6th.
The colourful convoy, featuring hundreds of vehicles decked out in dazzling gold and sunshine-yellow, wound its way from Highlands Boulevard in Leigh-on-Sea to the Kursaal on Southend seafront and back again. The eye-catching display aimed to raise awareness of childhood cancer during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The annual event is organised by Leigh-on-Sea based charity Gold Geese, which provides practical and emotional support to families of children and young people battling cancer across South East Essex.
Christine joined fellow supporters to celebrate the cause and was pictured alongside Gold Geese Chair, Katie Southgate.
With every honk of a horn and flash of gold, the convoy served as a reminder of the strength and resilience of young people and their families facing childhood cancer — and the vital role community support plays in their journey.
